Join Housing Works & Diaspora Inc. along with healthcare providers, public health advocates, and elected officials to stand against racism and the dehumanization of Haitians and immigrant communities. We call for:
• End stigma that keeps us from ending the HIV epidemic and other public health crises
• Stop the steady stream of guns and other weapons from US going into Haiti
• Support our immigrant communities
Accessibility Information
Arriving/ Checking In | Please be sure to arrive on time and check in with a member of the Advocacy team to record your participation. It is important to arrive on time to ensure you are aware of the plan for the day, expectations for our group conduct, and safety plans. |
Seating | The Advocacy team can provide a pop-up stool upon request. Please let us know if you need a stool by Wednesday, October 2 at 4PM. |
Travel | Nearby accessible MTA stations include 57th Street (F), 5 Ave/53rd Street (E/M), and Lexington Ave/59th Street (4/5). Metrocards are available for Housing Works clients upon request. Building/ Navigation | Please gather outside of Trump Tower on 5th Avenue between 56th and 57th streets. The only parking available is street parking. |
Bathrooms | Nearby restrooms are available at the NYC Public Library - 56th Street Branch (18 West 53rd Street), the Museum of Modern Art (11 W 53rd Street), or Starbucks (600 Madison Avenue). Please note we cannot guarantee entry. |
Audio/Visual | There will not be amplified sound at this event in the form of a megaphone or speaker. There may be loud noises emitted from bull horn(s). There will not be sign-language interpreters at this event. |
