Please join us for a discussion on black maternal health policy and current legislation before the Louisiana Legislature. We will have experts in the field to facilitate the discussion.

This week’s guest is Victoria Williams is a Licensed Master Social Worker, certified breastfeeding specialist, Doula, Maternal Child Health Consultant, and is the Advocacy Director for Birthmark Doula Collective. She serves on the board of the local Postpartum Support International (PSI) chapter, Louisiana Community Health Outreach Network, and on the board of the Louisiana Pregnancy-Associated Mortality Review. Victoria is a member of the core team establishing the Mama+ Health Package, a policy-focused project targeted at addressing the maternal health crisis and eliminating maternal health disparities for Black birthing people in New Orleans. She is a recent 'doctorate of healthcare administration graduate, wife and mother of three girls and thoroughly enjoys being able to support, guide, and enrich the lives of families within the community so they can live prosperously during such transformational times.
