What’s Next for Us?

Broadly, we aim to mobilize and empower individuals to act within their communities and to strengthen the work of progressive social justice and activist groups in our region. In addition, our work will shine a light on legislation and other actions that attack, discriminate or threaten (any of) us, and lift up the leadership of women and trans people of color.

How will we do it?

To define and execute our work, we will draw from four committees. Review the committee descriptions below and consider which interest you and which could use your skills.

Outreach

This committee seeks opportunities for collaboration or publicity, where we can lend the strength of our membership and voice to lift up another organization and their work.

Programs and Events

This committee co-produces events with partner organizations to leverage our influence for change, and to uplift and magnify existing social justice and advocacy work.

External Communications

This committee translates our mission through the power of language and words.  This committee will maintain our website, Facebook page and Twitter account, as well as produce a variety of materials designed to engage news media and activists.

Political

This committee will seek opportunities for collaboration with legislators and political parties, as well as work to hold legislators accountable.
