Wednesday, January 10 - 2024 Opening Day at the General Assembly

10:00 am - EMERGE VIRGINIA FUNDRAISER (Truist Building at the Meriwether's Market, 3rd Floor at 919 E. Main Street, Richmond, VA)

11:00 am - Meet-up with Network NOVA, NWPC-VA & Virginia NOW immediately after the fundraiser (3rd floor, cafeteria).

11:30 am - Advocates depart for the Galleries where Network NOVA, NOW-VA, NWPC-VA and Emerge members will be recognized.

12:00 pm - Network NOVA, NWPC-VA, Virginia NOW, & Emerge Virginia are recognized in the House & Senate galleries. Delegate Adele McClure will recognize us in the House and Senator Russet Perry will recognize us in the Senate.

1:30 pm - Meet-up at the new General Assembly Office Building Coffee Bar to regroup & organize our visits to elected offices to deliver welcome cards. We will walk the halls, meet the staff and let them know that women are in the house!

5:00 pm - Head over to the Network NOVA’s Women are in the House Happy Hour at the Richmond Marriott's Corner Fall Line Kitchen & Bar (500 East Broad Street)

Thursday, January 11 - Advocacy Day at the Capitol in Richmond

9:00 am - Moms Demand Statewide Advocacy Day (Meet up at the Library of Virginia, 800 E Broad St., Richmond, VA 23219) Join Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action volunteers and Community Partners from across the state for our annual Advocacy Day at the Capitol in Richmond! We will meet up in the Library of Virginia for a short speaking program then go meet our lawmakers.
