Women's March - Lancaster, NH
Start: Saturday, January 21, 2017•10:00 AM
Join your friends and neighbors for a Women's March in the North Country.
On January 21st, 2017, thousands of people will unite for the Women's March in Washington, DC (https://www.womenmarch.org/). Over the last several months, many similar marches have been organized to take place throughout the country including one in Concord, New Hampshire.
We are organizing a local North Country option to stand in solidarity for the protection of our health, safety, and equality. We wanted to have a local opportunity for positive and visible action here in the North Country. We believe that the diversity (i.e. gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, religion) of our communities is an essential strength of our towns, New Hampshire and our nation.
Women's Marches all over the United States on January 21st will send a message to the new Administration that "we stand together, recognizing that defending the most marginalized among us is defending all of us." This is an inclusive peaceful march. Everyone is welcome. Please bring family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and children.
Join us on January 21st at 10:00 a.m. in the municipal parking lot located in front of the Great North Woods Welcome Center in Lancaster, New Hampshire. We will start at 10:00 a.m. and continue for one hour regardless of weather conditions. The walk will take place on public side walks in downtown Lancaster. Please wear warm clothes and bring signs showing what you stand for and believe in regarding protecting civic rights. We'll look forward to seeing you there!
