***THIS IS A PEACEFUL MARCH!!! We are PROMOTING women's rights because they are human rights. WE MUST AVOID CONFLICT!

We MUST NOT:
1. inhibit traffic flow,
2. inhibit our fellow citizen's right to their use of the sidewalk, and
3. we MUST NOT bring sound amplification--that means bullhorns, speakers, etc.

Our overall concern is the prevention of harm to our marchers. DO NOT ENGAGE with ANY other citizens with derogatory or opposing views to avoid conflict of any kind. We DO NOT advocate for anything other than peaceful sharing of ideas.

THE SPONSORS OF THIS EVENT DO NOT IN ANY WAY CONDONE VIOLENCE, HATRED, OR THE USE OF HATEFUL SPEECH, BOTH WRITTEN AND VERBAL.***

Details:

We will meet on the corner of Briggsmore and McHenry at 10am and will march at 11am to Graceada Park, where we will be called to action and inspired by speakers representing different local and nationally-recognized organizations. Complete list of speakers will be announced shortly.

Overall schedule as follows:

~ 10am - 11am: Unity gathering

~ 11am: March to Graceada Park (approx 45min)

~ 12pm - 2pm: Community speakers presentation

The entire march will be about two miles long one way. For those concerned about the distance, we will pass through Five Points on our route. You are welcome to join us at this point and walk the rest of the way to Graceada, which is about a half mile. Also, concerning the walk back, you can consider carpooling, being picked up, or utilizing public transportation. Please plan ahead.

Please dress comfortably and bring water. There will be places of business nearby for food and drink purchases. If you have a pink hat--wear it! Also, some signs will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own. Some examples of good signs: "Hear our voice!" "Women's rights are human rights" and "Nasty woman." Please keep signs specific and positive.

VOLUNTEERS are needed, so please contact the event coordinators for more information on how you can help:
