Women's March of Asbury Park

Start: Saturday, January 21, 201712:00 PM

On January 21, 2017 we will proudly join the International community to march in support of unification and equality while helping to solidify the message that women's rights are human rights. This march is a sister event being held in solidarity with the Women's March on Washington.

"We call on all defenders of human rights to join us. This march is the first step towards unifying our communities, grounded in new relationships, to create change from the grassroots level up. We will not rest until women have parity and equity at all levels of leadership in society. We work peacefully while recognizing there is no true peace without justice and equity for all."- Excerpt from the Sister March Mission Statement. Read the rest of the mission statement here.

Please begin congregating at 11 and meet at the corner or Emory and Lake Ave at noon. After a welcome ceremony we will begin our march up Lake Avenue at 12:30 sharp. We will march =to the Asbury Park Boardwalk where we will pause for a collective moment of gratitude then continue our march to Convention Hall and congregate in Bradley Park for our keynote speakers and address.
