World Day of Remembrance is an opportunity for the community to gather to remember people killed in car crashes. This year, we will also celebrate projects recently completed that make our streets safer.

We will gather at POOF Teen Center (1100 N Miami Blvd, Suite 601) from 3:00 - 4:30pm.  

The program will include remarks from Bike Durham advocacy campaign organizer Gregory Williams, from city of Durham Vision Zero Coordinator Lauren Grove, Council member Javiera Caballero, and other invited speakers.

This will be followed a visit to the recently completed protected bike lane on North Miami Boulevard and a candle-lighting ceremony to remember those who have been killed or seriously injured.
