Join us for a Big Weekend of vital campaigning in Cowes and Newport on the Isle of Wight, as we mobilise Young Greens from all across England and Wales to help get Vix Lowthion elected into Parliament!

We know that with enough volunteers powering this campaign, we can not only fight, but win.

What does it involve?

We’ll be hitting the streets of the Isle of Wight delivering leaflets and speaking to local residents about the issues that matter most to them - and joined by our incredible Deputy Leader, Amelia Womack. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet other Young Greens, gain some political campaigning experience, and take part in one of the most exciting Green campaigns across the country.

There will be training and briefing on the day so don't worry if this is your first time attending! There will always be other experienced Young Green campaigners there to buddy up with and we’ll be going out in pairs or small groups so you'll never be alone. We’ll all be joining up together for lunch (and also to put our feet up at the nearest local at the end of the day!) If you have any questions please contact admin@younggreens.org.uk or post below!

Rough schedule for Saturday: Cowes

If coming over from the mainland...

09.45 - Red Jet Ferry from Southampton (We'll try meet up on the ferry)
10.20 - Arrive at the Red Jet Ferry terminal and walk over to Cowes Methodist Church which will be our base for the day
11.00 - An introduction from the candidate and short briefing (+ hot drink!) at our base
12.00 - First session of campaigning (leaflets and canvassing)
13.30 - Lunch!
14.00 - Second session of campaigning  (leaflets and canvassing)
16.00 - Feet up at the local pub!

14.00 - Second session of campaigning  (leaflets and canvassing)
16.00 - Feet up at the local pub!
