Young Greens Convention 2023 in Bristol!
Start: Saturday, July 22, 2023•10:00 AM
End: Sunday, July 23, 2023• 5:00 PM
It’s finally time for the most highly-anticipated event of the year - the Young Greens Annual Convention is back and better than ever, and this time, it’s in person! Come and join us in Bristol on the 22nd and 23rd of July at The Space at the People's Republic of Stokes Croft in Bristol, an incredible venue with values closely aligned to our own.
We’re really excited to be able to come together and discuss our priorities, learn from each other and build our momentum for the future. We’ll have Young Greens from across England and Wales making big decisions about the Young Greens future, and building their networks with each other. We’ll discuss and vote for our priorities for the coming year, and elect our new leadership.
The agenda will be announced close to the day but the core democracy sessions for the weekend will be 10am - 6pm on Saturday and Sunday, with regular breaks throughout. We’ll have sessions on the current issues impacting young people, and will hear from Young Greens on the work that they’ve been doing over the past year. We'll also be hearing from some special guests, including the leader of the Green Party and Bristol Central's MP Candidate Carla Denyer!
We believe that Convention should be accessible to all members. As such, it will be held in a hybrid format, with the option to join our democracy sessions online. In addition, we will be providing financial assistance through our Access Fund to ensure that the cost of attending is not a barrier to participation. We'll also be providing a free lunch to all participants on both Saturday and Sunday.
Visit our democracy platform to get involved in our democracy, to nominate yourself for election, to submit papers, and to find out more about how everything will work! Papers and amendments will also be emailed to attendees before Convention starts. If you require a printed copy please let us know using the form.
To create a safe and supportive environment, and to ensure that everyone is able to enjoy Convention, the Young Greens Safeguarding and Safe Spaces policy will be enforced throughout the entire event, and by attending you are agreeing to abide by this policy and its procedures. Please read the policy here prior to attending.
If you have any questions about attending Convention please get in touch with us on admin@younggreens.org.uk, or check out our first timer's guide here on our website!
