The Montana State Legislature recently passed H.B. 530, which bans paid ballot collection -- doing so makes it near impossible for individuals living on rural and tribal lands to exercise their right to vote.
This is a serious burden to place on Montanas who could have limited access to transportation or can’t afford to leave work for hours to trek to the nearest polling place.
