ANZ has recently directed staff to use excess annual leave balances. This comes at a time when staff are being told they're essential, and are otherwise unable to leave their homes. While directing staff to take annual leave is allowed under the ANZ enterprise agreement for some employees, in the current climate, it hardly seems reasonable.

Members of the Finance Sector Union have decided to stand up to ANZ on this issue. The union is organising a campaign to dispute ANZ's direction to take annual leave during a global pandemic.
