Call the Leaders to Let NY Vote

The passage of historic voting reforms on day one of the 2019 New York legislative session sent a strong message from our legislators that this is just the beginning of creating a better democracy for New York, but it was just a start.

But we’re not done yet. The leadership will be discussing their final bills all weekend long and through the week until session ends on June 19. All signs point to success if we’re able to make enough noise in the final days of the legislative session week for our final three priorities.

CALL TODAY:

Governor Andrew Cuomo: (518) 474-8390
Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins: (518) 455-2585
Speaker of Assembly Carl Heastie: (518) 455-3791

SCRIPT:

“Thank you for passing historic voting reforms this year. We need to make sure we don’t leave anyone behind. Please pass these remaining 3 laws before session ends in June:
1) Automatic Voter Registration — bill S6457 Gianaris / A8280 Walker
2) Voting rights restoration for people on parole — bill S1931 Comrie & A4987 O’Donnell
3) A party enrollment deadline that makes primaries more inclusive — bill S2338 Kavanagh / A1423 Simon
Thank you."
