Call the Leaders to shorten our party enrollment deadline

The passage of historic voting reforms on day one of the 2019 New York legislative session sent a strong message from our legislators that this is just the beginning of creating a better democracy for New York, but it was just a start.

Call the state leaders today and ask them to pass bill S2338 (Kavanagh) / A1423 (Simon) to fix to our regressive party enrollment deadline that locks millions of New York Voters out of the primary elections.

CALL TODAY:

Governor Andrew Cuomo: (518) 474-8390
Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins: (518) 455-2585
Speaker of Assembly Carl Heastie: (518) 455-3791

SCRIPT:

New York has the most restrictive party enrollment deadline in the country, locking out countless voters during primary elections. The party enrollment deadline should be the same as the regular registration deadline (currently 25 days) for ALL parties in ALL elections.
