80 years ago Britain welcomed 10,000 child refugees on the eve of World War Two, saving them from Nazi German. This became known as the Kindertransport.
Hackney gave a safe home to 100 of these children.
Today there are thousands of child refugees at our doorstep who need the same help.
We're asking Hackney Council to help build a legacy for the Kindertransport by pledging places to a new fully funded scheme that we hope will bring 10,000 child refugees to Britain over the next ten years.
We are asking Hackney Council at the next Full Council Meeting on 31st October. We need your signature today to make sure our question gets heard at this meeting. Please add your name.
