On May 1st public employees from across the Commonwealth of Virginia can join a union and exercise their collective bargaining rights.

What’s Next  

The City of Alexandria has passed the first ordinance in the commonwealth – this means Alexandria City Employees can now begin negotiating a collective bargaining agreement with the city administration.

Arlington County recently passed collective bargaining and its employees are continuing to build support to begin forming a union and negotiating their contract.

City of Norfolk employees are building a majority of support to begin drafting their collective bargaining ordinance.
