Demand DoorDash, Google, Walmart, CVS, and other major corporations stop funding Mark Robinson's dangerously racist, bigoted campaign for NC Governor now!
Major corporations are bankrolling a multi-million dollar effort to elect Mark Robinson governor of North Carolina through their donations to the Republican Governors Association (RGA).
These companies, including DoorDash, Google, Walmart, and others, are using their customers' money to support a candidate with a long history of promoting conspiracy theories, using anti-Semitic tropes, and demeaning women and LGBTQ people.
Mark Robinson's record is appalling and well-documented: In June 2021, Robinson called LGBTQ people "filth" and said exposure to LGBTQ people and issues in schools was child abuse. He has referred to LGBTQ people as "devil-worshiping child molesters" and claimed that "straight" couples were "superior" to same-sex couples.
Robinson has repeatedly minimized the atrocities of Nazi Germany and the Holocaust. He wrote on Facebook in 2017, "I am so sick of seeing and hearing people STILL talk about Nazis and Hitler and how evil and manipulative they were."
On abortion rights, Robinson has claimed that women choose to have abortions so that they can keep living "on easy street" and "keep running to the club every Friday night." He favors an abortion ban from the moment of conception.
Despite this shocking record, the RGA has spent over $17.3 million since June 11, 2024 on ads supporting Robinson's campaign for North Carolina governor. This amount exceeds the total that Robinson's own campaign has raised this cycle.
These corporations are funneling millions into supporting a candidate whose views are completely at odds with the inclusive, diverse image they try to project to the public. It's time to hold these companies accountable.
DoorDash, Google, Walmart, and other corporate donors to the RGA must demand that the RGA stop spending money to support Mark Robinson's campaign for North Carolina governor or insist on an immediate refund of their donations to the RGA.
Don't let corporate America hide behind political organizations to support extremist candidates. Tell these corporate giants: Stop funding hate and bigotry now!
To Chief Executive Officer and Executive Team of DoorDash, Google, Walmart, CVS, Microsoft, Travelers Insurance, Amazon, Deloitte, Charter Communications, Oracle, Pfizer, Coca-Cola, The Motion Picture Association, and Wells Fargo: Stop funding Mark Robinson's racist, bigoted campaign for NC Governor immediately! I’m writing to express my outrage that your company is financially supporting the Republican Governors Association (RGA), which is spending millions of dollars to back Mark Robinson's extremist campaign for governor of North Carolina. Mark Robinson has a documented history of hateful rhetoric. He’s attacked LGBTQ+ individuals, minimized the atrocities of Nazi Germany, and demeaned women. His views are not just deeply offensive; they are dangerous. Your company has built a reputation for promoting diversity and inclusion. Yet by funding the RGA, you are directly contributing to the promotion of a candidate whose views contradict the very values your company claims to uphold. This is unacceptable. I urge you to demand that the RGA cease using your company's contributions to support Robinson’s campaign. If the RGA refuses, then your company must immediately request a refund and withdraw all financial support. Now is the time to show that your company stands by its values. The people are watching. Make the right choice and stop funding Mark Robinson's racist, bigoted campaign for NC Governor immediately. Signed, |
