We will be reaching out to our legislators to encourage them to vote in favor of the bills that CT Renews supports. We will be making calls, writing letters, and discussing why these bills will create a more sustainable, just CT.

The three bills we will be supporting are

SB 356- An Act Establishing An Energy Efficiency Retrofit Program for Affordable Housing

A bill that will retrofit affordable housing units with heat pumps, solar panels and other really important weatherization improvements.

HB 6551- An Act Concerning Environmental Air Quality

A bill that will strengthen environmental justice laws - making sure that over burdened black and brown communities are protected from polluters and hazardous waste.

SB 999- An Act Concerning a Just Transition to Climate-Protective Energy Production and Community Investment

A just transition bill that focuses on creating good jobs in the emerging Green Economy.
