D11 Strike Solidarity Pledge

Did you know? The District 11 Board of Education dissolved the Master Agreement in 2024, which is the union contract the teachers had with the district for over fifty years. This move by the Board is part of the corporate assault on workers rights and on the public good.

Backed by corporate money in their elections to the school board, this decision is meant to cut funding to public schools that serve everyone and to open charter schools that will leave many children without access to quality education.

In response to losing their contract, 91% of the teachers in the union, Colorado Springs Education Association, voted to go on a one-day strike this fall.

Teachers form the backbone of our community, and they deserve their rights as workers to create a world where public education is respected and appropriately funded to meet the educational needs of children and communities. The teachers in the district are the union. Sign the D11 Strike Solidarity Pledge to show up for teachers fighting for better schools and students!
