Demand Stronger Fracking Regulations – Protect Our Health and Environment

Fracking has become a flashpoint in Pennsylvania—where drilling runs directly through communities, and the risks to our water, air, and health that are impossible to ignore.

But Pennsylvania isn’t alone. Communities across the country are facing the same threats from fracking, and it's time for a nationwide call to action. Fracking operations, which involve injecting high-pressure fluids into the earth to extract oil and gas, have raised serious health and environmental concerns in Colorado, Texas, New Mexico, and more.

The science is clear: fracking contaminates drinking water, releases harmful methane emissions that drive climate change, and has even been linked to increased earthquakes. Yet, regulations remain dangerously lax, putting corporate profits above public safety.

We are calling on Congress and state governments to take immediate steps to strengthen environmental and safety regulations, ensure transparency about the chemicals used in fracking, hold companies accountable for the damage they cause, and accelerate the transition to renewable energy sources. Our leaders need to prioritize the health of our communities and the planet over the profits of the fossil fuel industry.

Now, we have the chance to push for real change. Communities from Appalachia to the West are demanding action, and we must stand united in our call for stronger regulations to protect people—not polluters.
