Demand the Senate REJECT Kash Patel for Director of the FBI
Democracy Activists like you stopped Matt Gaetz. Now is the time to use that momentum to demand the senate reject President-elect Trump’s next extremely dangerous nominee for a top law enforcement position: Kash Patel for Director of the FBI. [1]
Here’s what you need to know about Kash Patel, and why he simply cannot be handed this much power:
-
He has made his priorities clear: announcing on a podcast that he and President-elect Trump are “dead serious” about radically transforming the FBI to serve Trump’s revenge agenda and target political opponents and journalists -- all while giving a free pass to violent January 6th insurrectionists. [2]
-
He helped push Trump’s lies about the 2020 election and openly supports the dangerous and baseless “QAnon” conspiracy theory -- saying “there's a lot of good to it", spreading QAnon posts on social media, and even writing QAnon conspiracies into a children's book that he authored. [3]
-
Working in the first Trump administration, Patel was notorious for his unwavering loyalty to Trump -- wanting to please him above everything else, even the rule of law. [4]
Obviously current FBI Director Christopher Wray was never going to keep his job after he landed on Trump’s target list for overseeing the Mar-a-Lago search in classified documents case. God forbid the FBI hold Trump to the same standards as any other American or the rule of law.
But Kash Patel is, without exaggeration, one of the most extreme choices Trump could have made. Senators must not let it stand.
Kash Patel belongs nowhere near the FBI! Demand the Senate REJECT Kash Patel for Director of the FBI by adding your name now >>
