The Action Network Migration Planning Guide is intended to give a fairly broad overview of what a migration process might look like to move from Action Kit, Salsa, or NGP 8 to Action Network.

It is drawn from our experience migrating partners large and small from Action Kit, Salsa, and NGP 8 and similar systems, and it’s meant to be a starting point as you plan your migration. Our goal is to make your migration as easy as possible and to inform you of the support resources we offer to aid the process.

This guide will cover the four stages of migration we typically recommend, including:

1. Audit of your current data.
2. Onboarding admins and setting up infrastructure like email and page wrappers.
3. Swapping out old sign up forms and syncs from Action Kit, Salsa, and NGP 8 to Action Network.
4. Data transfer from Action Kit, Salsa, and NGP 8 to Action Network via uploads.
