Where are we now?

Equinor has just re-submitted their application to develop the Rosebank oil field, and a public consultation has begun. This means, we’re now just weeks away from our Government making a final decision on whether to approve the UK’s largest undeveloped oil field after the consultation closes on 20th November.

What do we need to do?

It's absolutely crucial that we build and exert as much pressure on the government as possible now, whilst they’re making the decision. The immense opposition of ordinary people to new oil and gas needs to be so loud, so obvious, it can’t be ignored.

What can you do?

This is why we're planning a rolling picket outside the Treasury, 8am to 9am everyday Parliament is sitting, from Monday 20th October: until the decision is made.

But, we can’t do this alone.We need to make sure there will be at minimum of at least two of us outside each morning - but ideally at least four (we're planning for pickets up until Christmas, just incase the decision-making process stretches out).

This is our chance to influence the exact people who will be making this decision. Everything is still to play for, we really can win this thing. It just depends on what we now.
