We endorse the Peoples Budget Campaign. We join the call for an ongoing, permanent campaign around the People's Budget presented each year by the Congressional Progressive Caucus. The goals of this campaign are:

• to make the People's Budget a serious “player” each year in the debates surrounding the adoption of the Federal Budget
• to link the People's Budget to campaigns over component issues of the budget (for example, debt-free college, climate change, fair taxes, affordable child care, military spending, etc.), bringing wider attention to the People's Budget
• to serve as an umbrella for strategic organizing efforts on particular bills and issues covered in the Peoples Budget
• to organize a movement powerful enough to eventually get the main features of the Peoples Budget passed as the budget of the United States.
