Over the past year, hundreds of thousands of people have taken to the streets to fight back against white supremacy and capitalism. From Black Lives Matter, to fast-food and low-wage worker strikes, to the fight to end immigration detention and deportation in the US and Canada, movement forces are disrupting business as usual and demanding that everything must change. 

Meanwhile, the climate crisis continues to deepen. Building off the energy of the People’s Climate March, Flood Wall Street, Burnaby Mountain blockade, and other inspiring struggles, Rising Tide North America is calling for a series of coordinated actions in the Summer and Fall of 2015 that escalate organizing, provide a radical analysis of climate change and substantively disrupt the political and economic systems driving the climate crisis. 

We believe we must catalyze a movement with crescendoing energy that has the potential to carry beyond our initial plans, one that forces people to take sides in the struggle for liberation from capitalism, colonialism and white supremacy.
