Pledge to VOTE for Zohran!

This election day, we're bringing the progressive movement to Astoria.

We started this campaign in October, where our goal was to register as many folks that we could to vote. In January, we testified at a hearing in support of the proposed supportive housing facility for LGBTQ folx right here in Astoria. In the beginning of March, we went to Albany to fight for stronger tenant protections for New Yorkers.

When Covid hit our community, we transformed our campaign office to a hub where we've given out free groceries to over 450 families and have provided 13,000 hot meals to more families. We've referred 150 individuals to a local mutual aid network and to the Astoria Tenant Union. We are in the streets with our neighbors every day, fighting for justice and demanding change.

Now, we are less than a week from Election Day and it’s more important now than ever to transform our community. We shouldn't have to fight tooth and nail for tenant protections and rent relief. We shouldn't have to choose between paying rent, utilities, food, and healthcare- especially during this pandemic.
We need leaders who are prepared to fight back against the bandaid legislation that Albany has put forward. That’s why I’m running for State Assembly. We don’t just need leaders who believe that housing is a human right, that our utilities should be under public control, and that mass incarceration needs to be dismantled. We need leaders prepared to fight for those beliefs too.

On June 23, we will take to the polls and make our voices heard. Our election on June 23rd isn't just an election. It's our chance to go to Albany and to fight for our neighbors.
