Back in 2009, the Tea Party did not speak for the American people—but they showed up at Town Halls in droves, and intimidated Democratic members of Congress.

Because of your hard work, we forced Donald Trump & Paul Ryan to pull back on a bill to repeal Obamacare—that would have cut off health insurance to 24 million people.

We did this, because we held Congress members accountable—through constituent town hall meetings. We demanded Congress stop a tyrant with a toddler temperament from destroying our nation.

But they will be back, and we must be prepared. We must continue to hold Congress accountable.

Daily Kos is working with allied organizations to generate turnout at Town Halls when they happen, and to protest members of Congress who hide from their constituents by not scheduling them.
