Host a sister action on January 18th

We need millions of people to rise up together in cities and towns across the country on January 18th to show that our resistance against Trump is strong in every corner of the country.

Last year we had over 300 sister marches with events in all 50 states! From small towns to big cities, mass marches to community gatherings, we saw inspiring actions from coast to coast.

Whether you’re a seasoned activist or a first-time organizer we will provide resources to help make your event a success. You will be joining thousands of leaders across the country organizing rallies, marches, and other creative actions in their communities.

After you register, we'll send you additional resources to help you have a successful event. You'll also be able to edit your event info later, so you don't need to have everything figured out right now -- the important thing is to get started!

Here’s how to get started:

  1. Check the map to see if there is already a Sister Action planned in your area. If there is, connect with the group and ask how you can get involved. If there is not an event planned near you, then fill out this form to register one, set up your event page, and get to work! (follow the guide to setting up your action here)

  2. Brainstorm and research a list of community groups to contact to invite them to join this effort (i.e. environmental justice groups, labor unions, racial justice groups, faith based organizations, and more).

  3. Invite these groups to an initial exploratory planning meeting to discuss action ideas, divide up roles, and make a plan.
