In order to win a Green New Deal, our movement will have to inspire thousands and thousands of people to take bold, creative action again and again. From sit-ins to school strikes to massive marches, non-violent direct actions are an essential part of Sunrise’s strategy.

Sunrise is preparing to launch an Action Lead Role Network, which will provide an opportunities for Sunrisers to learn key action planning skills, share learnings across the movement and build community across hubs with other organizers leading actions. The channel will start with a Slack channel, #taking-direct-action, and launch officially with our first call in mid-December.
