Intern Application

Throughout the year, ArtReach hires unpaid interns to assist with various programmatic and administrative tasks. The goal of ArtReach internships is two-fold: to benefit the intern by building skills and experience in the field of not-for-profit arts education, and to benefit ArtReach through an influx of new and creative people.

Generally, ArtReach offers internships in development, marketing, social media, and ceramics.

Development Intern Responsibilities:

  • Grants - Research facts, information, and data specific to a particular grant. ­ Work with Development Director to write grants
  • Events - Work with Events Committee to plan event ­ Manage auction item spreadsheet ­ Help with thank you letters
  • Individual Donors
  • Draft layouts of email campaigns
  • Address and mail appeal mailers. ­ Help manage and thank individual donors
  • Skills:
    • basic computer skills
    • organized
    • excellent writing skills


Social Media and Marketing Intern Responsibilities:

Social Media/ website
  • Create content calendar
  • Schedule social media posts: twitter, facebook, instagram
  • Update website
  • Analyze metrics
  • Cultivate stories and photos for future appeal mailers
Public Relations
  • Cultivate relationships with newspapers, magazines, and radio stations, community bulletins
  • Assist with writing and distribution of press releases
  • Update Intern job descriptions with colleges, community bulletins
Skills
