Join Clean Air's Data Center Campaign!
Are you interested in fighting against the unregulated development of data centers in Erie and Niagara County, particularly the proposed 300MW Riverview Innovation Tech Campus data center at the former Tonawanda Coke site? Then join our Data Center Campaign!
We are committed to a Just Transition for Western New York - we advocate for Superfund remediation actions at industrial sites, renewable energy projects as the primary preferred redevelopment uses, and against industrial/"hyperscale" data centers without any regulatory guardrails.
We urge passage of local, state, and federal guidelines for future data center developments that will allow this new industrial sector to operate within industrial areas without impacting neighbors and communities negatively, and until those regulations are passed, urge moratorium actions.
For the RITC proposed project, we advocate for a battery storage and solar power generation for the grid rather than a data center.
RITC is affiliated with Ontario Specialty Contracting - we are also advocating that OSC show their work and good intentions by first implement the "best practices" that they are proposing at RITC at the currently operating data center at 1001 East Delevan, which is another OSC project site.
