You have seen Extinction Rebellion blooming all over the UK, bringing traffic to a standstill in London and real action on climate change to the forefront of conversation. Extinction Rebellion has sown seeds of hope and power around the world, and now it is time for those seeds to germinate and thrive.

Many of you have found us on facebook already, but to turn XR Canada into a force to be reckoned with, we need volunteers to step up and help us with building out XR's internal support structure. Local and regional coordinators are required to help to grow and support the building blocks and energy source of XR, the affinity groups.

In the UK, many affinity groups sprang out of the gatherings and connections that were made after listening to Gail Bradbrook's talk 'Heading for extinction and what to do about it'. This presentation was held up and down the country over 60 times by dozens of volunteers. XR Canada is currently working on a Canada-specific version that will be readily available for anyone who so chooses to bring it to their community.

As XR Canada grows, there are many working groups that need to be established for a thriving and efficient mobilisation. They are;

• Outreach & Training
• Actions & Logistics
• Finances
• Art
• Regenerative Culture
• Legal

Extinction Rebellion is made up of the people who just show up and start doing it. It will be what you make of it, and we can't wait to see what that is. We look forward to connecting you with the rebels in your neighbourhood, and for you to make the rebellion your own.
