On Wednesday, June 12, LAE summer conference organizers are inviting local presidents and other officers to join us at the Paragon Casino Resort in Marksville for select portions of the conference. We’ll have two tracks -- one for local presidents and treasurers and another for association representatives (ARs).

Local presidents and treasurers are invited to attend a special Presidents/Treasurers Training will cover several important topics including leader roles and responsibilities; how to run a meeting and local elections; creating a constitution/establishing bylaws; and obtaining the needed tax forms for association incorporation. This is a great opportunity for officers — new and old — to gain a clear understanding of the proper protocols and procedures for running an efficient local chapter.

During the BOLD LEADER (AR) Training, attendees will learn about how to recruit members using NEA member benefits, how to unpack the membership toolbox, and best practices for cultivating relationships with new employees.
