2021 MLK Day Guaranteed Income Event Series
The movement for guaranteed, basic income has made incredible progress over the past 12 months; from the first Congressional candidates running on basic income winning seats at the federal level to new social justice and activists embracing guaranteed income as an important part of economic justice. There have even been multiple documentary films premier this year highlighting flagship guaranteed income pilots in Stockton and Jackson, Mississippi. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision for a guaranteed income is a source of inspiration and guidance for this progress.
This makes this year’s Martin Luther King Jr. day a unique opportunity to bring guaranteed income leaders, organizations and grassroots supporters together to celebrate MLK’s role in this year’s progress and in inspiring the important work we have still to do in 2021.
