As religious institutions, we call on world leaders to enact a Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty that will:

• End the expansion of new coal, oil, and gas production immediately
• Phase out existing fossil fuel production fairly, with wealthy nations leading this transition
• Implement a just transition to renewable energy for all, prioritizing the needs of affected communities and workers
