Online policy discussions 2024
Topic: assisted dying
Discussion led by our Green Party Arun District councillor Carol Birch.
On 16 October, the first reading of a new bill on assisted dying will be introduced to parliament. It is expected to allow terminally ill adults with six months or fewer to live to get medical help to end their own lives. A similar bill was rejected by the UK parliament in 2015.
