Organizing 4 Power

Learn to win. Teach to lead.
Organize for power.
Organizing for Power’s Core Fundamentals is a skills-based training program that teaches you and your group how to win more and win better in the fights that matter most to you.
The training takes place in weekly sessions over 6 consecutive Thursdays from February 13th until March 20th, 2025.
Registration is free, and the Area Coordinating Groups are organizing OPS UNIFIED members to attend. We can take registrations up to February 13th, so sign up now.
We're only going to win if we’re in this together.
How the program works
The training takes place over six intensive weeks. To accommodate a global audience, each session runs twice a day, at 12:00 p.m. EST and 8:00 p.m. EST.
You will begin each week in a global plenary, with Weeks 1 and 6 taking place over 2 hours entirely in plenary. During Weeks 2-5, you will meet with your group (virtually or in person) during the second half of the session to work through practical exercises, taking as long as you need to finish your work. You should also meet with your group between each session to complete crucial weekly campaign practice assignments.
Over the six weeks, you will learn the following core fundamentals of organizing:
- leader identification: understanding who can move people to action and that it’s often not who you think;
- semantics: recognizing that the words you use matter - you must center each worker’s active participation as key to winning;
- structured organizing conversations: learning what it takes to win over the hardest-to-move leaders;
- charting: incorporating a simple method to understand human social relationships and to prioritize and systematize outreach;
- structure tests: developing mini-campaigns to build solidarity and site structure, and to know when you are ready to win.
