2021 is underway, and it’s already proving to be another year of advocacy and fighting for justice. With more than the usual political upheaval in Albany, the time is ripe for us to keep up the momentum and push hard for our 2021 Legislative Agenda.

Our agenda is centered around several key priorities, including:

• Guaranteeing access to quality, affordable housing for every New Yorker

• Transform the justice system and rebuild communities devastated by mass incarceration

• Ensuring that all New York children have equal access to a quality education

• Protecting the health of all New Yorkers through our work on climate justice and health care
  

In 2020, we faced an unprecedented health crisis made worse by massive disparities in health care coverage; an economic crisis that forced millions of New Yorkers into job loss, hunger, and eviction; and racial tensions that exposed the race disparities for Black and Brown people. At the same time, New York’s 120 billionaires watched their wealth grow by an unbelievable $87.7 billion between March 2020 and January 2021. This should not be allowed to happen in a state as progressive as New York.

Our 2021 Legislative Agenda represents our ongoing mission to address these inequities.
