Add your name: Pack the Supreme Court

Since Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s passing almost one month ago, the Trump administration and the Republican Senate has been trying to push through the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett, a conservative judge, to the U.S. Supreme Court.

With Coney Barrett on the Supreme Court, issues around health care, reproductive rights, and LGBTQ rights are at risk — and will be for decades in what will be an ultra-conservative majority.

But there’s a possible solution: packing the courts, or increasing the number of justices on the Supreme Court. There’s nothing in the Constitution that dictates the size of the Supreme Court, and it has fluctuated in size from as few as five to as many as 10 before settling at the current number — nine — in 1869.

Should the Senate confirm Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, we need to be ready. Join us as we make the call to Congress that they pack the court, or increase the number of justices to the Supreme Court.
