Nearly 1000 institutions, with a combined asset value of over $7.1 trillion  have committed to divest in some form from fossil fuels. This includes some of the world’s largest and most influential cities such as New York City, London, Washington DC, Paris, and Berlin. With fossil fuel stocks becoming increasingly financially risky, funds are divesting while continuing to meet their fiduciary responsibilities to their pensioners and retirees. Many are investing billions in climate solutions that will accelerate the just transition to a better future.
