Petition to Save the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge

The Arctic Refuge is in northeast Alaska and supports thousands of species- from millions of migratory birds traveling from all fifty states, to the more than 200,000-animals like polar bears, wolves and arctic foxes.

Despite its international and local importance, in 2017 Congress passed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which had a provision that opened up the coastal plain of the Arctic Refuge to oil and gas drilling. Drilling would be detrimental to the ecosystem and all those, including the native Gwich'in people, who depend on it. Some places are too sacred to sacrifice for a little more oil. So, we are calling on BP, Shell, Exxon Mobil, Phillips 66, and all other oil companies to not bid on any oil leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

We are collecting petitions to show the oil and gas companies that the majority of people oppose drilling in the Arctic Refuge.
