Pledge: Support striking workers at Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City

Casino workers and members of UNITE HERE Local 54 in Atlantic City have been fighting companies and billionaires who are undercutting middle-class jobs in New Jersey.

In response to employers threatening their livelihoods and ability to support their families, workers at the Trump Taj Mahal casino vote to authorize a strike if they did not receive a fair contract by 12:01 AM on July 1. The deadline came and went, and contract negotiations failed to reach an agreement that the workers' negotiating committee could recommend to the members. (Learn more.)

Trump Taj Mahal workers have had it hard in recent years. First Trump bankrupted the property while extracting millions in earnings. Then billionaire Carl Icahn took it over, using the bankruptcy process to strip workers of their healthcare and even paid breaks. In all, workers have seen a 35% cut in their wages and benefits since Icahn took over the property.

Add your name to tell Carl Icahn, owner of the Trump Taj Mahal casino, that you will stand by the 1,100 Trump Taj Mahal casino workers throughout their fight.

By adding my name, I pledge to support Trump Taj Mahal casino workers in Atlantic City in their fight to maintain quality jobs with benefits by refusing to patron the casino until workers have a fair contract. In addition, I pledge to honor any worker-called boycotts, strikes and actions in Atlantic City.
