Redwood Materials Workers Stand Up!
In the wake of historic gains won by workers at GM, Ford, and Stellantis, battery workers across the country are coming together to win a better life for ourselves and our families.
- Workers at Ultium Cells recently formed the first major union of battery workers in the country with UAW. They negotiated a groundbreaking agreement, with 63 percent wage increases, zero-premium platinum health insurance, and proactive health and safety measures.
- Since starting to form unions, auto/battery workers in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center have already won pay increases. Workers are continuing to organize for a real say on the job.
- At the University of California and other higher education institutions, thousands of battery researchers and engineers have organized with UAW to improve their working conditions.
Join workers at Redwood Materials who are forming a union with UAW. Let’s win a fair workplace for all workers in the rapidly expanding battery industry.
Learn more about the UAW’s record contracts at Ford, GM (including Ultium Cells) and Stellantis. It’s time we Stand Up and fight for what we deserve, just like the 150,000 UAW autoworkers at the Big Three.
