San Ysidro: Conversation About Guaranteed Income In Our Community

Date: Thursday, Dec. 2nd

Time: 6pm

Location: Border View YMCA - 3601 Arey Drive San Diego, CA 92154

Join San Diego for Every Child, Border View YMCA and Income Movement for a conversation about guaranteed income and an opportunity to learn more about a project here in San Diego and National City designed to get additional monthly income into the hands of our community members.

We will eat, talk, and learn together. The night includes a community screening of the film Inherent Good, which highlights an existing guaranteed income pilot program in Jackson, Mississippi. Community leaders as well as the filmmakers will be at the event, to answer questions and inspire us to take the next steps together as we launch a guaranteed income project in our community.

The event will include:

  • Dinner and food pantry support
  • Childcare available upon request for children 2 – 12 years old
  • Deep conversations with your community
  • Experts on guaranteed income to answer questions

Please RSVP so we can make sure to plan appropriately. Looking forward to seeing you there!

COVID Safety: In order to keep our community safe we encourage the use of masks while indoors during the event. Please stay home if you have a fever or are feeling sick. There will be other virtual opportunities to participate.
