The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) are seeking panelists to help evaluate grant applications and arts, entertainment and media industries (AEMI) unions are encouraging their members to apply!

AEMI unions and their members are a driving force in securing increased federal arts funding. Decisions about how those funds are spent are influenced by review panels, typically consisting of subject matter experts who evaluate the NEA and NEH grant applications.

AEMI union members have the opportunity to help decide which grant applications should receive funding by serving as NEA and NEH panelists. NEA and NEH panelists receive a small stipend from the NEA and NEH for the time invested in reviewing grant applications.

AEMI union members are ideal candidates to serve as panelists. The NEA and NEH panelists tend to be fellow professionals in the arts or humanities, scholars, experts in their fields, interested community members, and others with training in a specific art form or discipline.
