Do you have access to good enough waste and recycling collection? Does Bristol Waste collect your waste and recycling on time, and respond in a timely manner when you report missed collections? If not, then this is probably a source of great frustration for you and you'll want something to be done about it!

We are city centre residents. We live in a flat with a door by a main road. Because collecting our waste is awkward, we often end up with it not getting collected at all. And our collection day is a Friday, so however quickly we report a missed collection, it's Monday before anything is done about it.

Oh, and the lid was recently ripped off our composting bin, so we're hoping we can get a new one before the winter break.

When Ani Stafford-Townsend was Councillor here in 2015, they got stuck in to trying to sort out bin issues for residents and traders. They were making progress too! But boundary changes meant Councillors only had a one year term, and Labour took the ward in 2016. Since then, this progress has stalled.

We want to push things forward again, and to do that we need to take collective action! It's easy for the Council to put things off when people are taking up issues with them individually. But if we put our complaints together into a campaign, we are harder to ignore and can achieve service improvements for our communities.
