Passenger service agents and other aviation workers are essential to keeping passengers connected, our airplanes clean, and our airports secure.

As air travel continues to increase, the contributions of all kinds of aviation workers will play a key role in the recovery of our industry. Yet, many of us are still underpaid and under-protected, being paid as little as $7.25 an hour, without adequate affordable healthcare, and with little to no paid time off or sick days.

Public money should serve the public good.

Right now, President Biden and Congress are working on a jobs and infrastructure bill that would invest billions of our tax dollars in our nation's airports. We also need to invest in the aviation workers who keep our economy running by ensuring they receive at least the same wages and benefits that the federal government pays its own contractors as required under the Service Contract Act.

That's why we are calling on Congress to ensure that airlines, airport contractors, and other airport employers that receive federal funding are required to pay fair wages, contribute to health insurance, and provide paid time off for airport workers.
