After countless votes in Congress, ignorant and uninformed statements from Trump, and the current administration's extreme reluctance to promote a coordinated open enrollment effort, now Jeff Sessions and the Justice Department are refusing to defend the Affordable Care Act in court after several red states filed a lawsuit alleging it is unconstitutional.

Instead, the Trump administration itself argued that key Obamacare provisions ARE unconstitutional—a move so unprecedented that three lawyers working on the case withdrew from the litigation.

This is dangerous territory. The administration's refusal to defend the ACA could end healthcare coverage for millions of people across the United States. Trump's disaster and destruction must be stopped.
