Pembroke House has been building good lives and a good society in Walworth for over 135 years.

We were founded in 1885, when Pembroke students decided to take up residence in South East London, to live and work alongside local people to build a better neighbourhood.

They were driven by a belief that the growing inequality and deprivation in inner cities demanded a radical response.

Pembroke House is still here, organising to tackle social inequalities. Working with the community, we provide space for people to learn, eat and enjoy life together, and take collective action on local issues.
