Start a Young Friends of the Earth Group

Young Friends of the Earth is a network of young activists aged 16-25. We exist to support young peoplebased in England, Wales and Northern Ireland who are passionate about social and climate justice and would like to be part of an environmental movement that is focused on being accessible and inclusive of everyone.

Young Friends of the Earth groups are are made up of young people who come together in their local community to campaign on the issues that matter to them.

If there is no Young Friends of the Earth group near you, we can help you start one.

All you need to do is find three young people who would be interested in running a group with you and you will receive:

  • A £50 group start up grant
  • Tailored training, support and campaign resources

  • Residential and skill share events with other young people in person and online

  • Opportunities to represent Young Friends of the Earth, including at international climate events in Europe

If you have been campaigning for years, already part of a group or are newly inspired to get involved with activism, Young Friends of the Earth has a place for you.

Fill in your details here and our Youth Action Coordinator will be in touch.
